About Us
Isle West Appraisals Ltd. has been incorporated since 1989 and has been operating in the central Vancouver Island area since that time. Our primary area of operation is from Duncan to Comox to Port Alberni. We have completed assignments in other areas including Tofino, Ucluelet, the Gulf Islands and Gabriola Island. Our portfolio also includes commercial reports of properties and businesses throughout Vancouver Island and the Sunshine Coast.
Garry Craik
DAR, IFA, Certified Appraisal Reviewer
Garry became a member of the Appraisal Institute of Canada in 1979. He joined CNAREA in 2009 and currently holds his designation from their association as well as the American Society of Appraisers.
Garry has been appraising real estate since 1981. He joined Isle West’s team in 1996. He has a wealth of knowledge and experience in real property appraisals in the Mid-Island area.
In 2016, Garry became the owner of Isle West Appraisals Ltd.
Scott Hansen
CRA, P. App
Scott has been a member of the Appraisal Institute of Canada since 2005 and joined Isle West’s team of residential appraisers in 2010. He completed the Appraisal Institute of Canada (AIC) Education Program with UBC.
He takes pride in several aspects of his profession:
- bringing a personable approach to dealing with clients;
- applying a diligent work ethic towards challenging assignments
- constructing clear and convincing reports
- Scott is well respected by both the realtors and lenders a like in the mid-Island area.
Norm. W. Gardner
AACI, P.App
Norm’s career includes almost three decades in the Real Estate Industry from construction and real estate sales to real estate appraisals since 1997.
Norm joined the Isle West team in 1997.

Jessy Craik
Candidate Member
Jessy is currently pursuing his DAR designation through CNAREA, and will have his education requirements completed by July 2019.
He joined Isle West’s team of residential appraisers in 2017. He looks forward to a career as a residential appraiser in Nanaimo and area.
